“A Delhi teenage girl has fallen victim to the Orkut mischief-makers, who have posted a profile on the web page, describing her as a ’sex teacher’.

The girl’s profile also has obscene photographs and contact details such as her home address and telephone numbers. The matter came to fore after the girl’s family started receiving vulgar calls and her father approached the Cyber Cell of Delhi Police’s Economic Offences Wing.

 A fortnight back when two strangers knocked at their door and told them the girl had invited them for sex through Internet, they added. The Delhi police has said registered a case and launched investigations into the matter.

According to the complaint, the teenager’s family received the first call almost a month back where the caller wanted to speak to her. Similar calls poured in later, the police said, adding that all the callers referred to Orkut.”

Who do you think is actually to be blamed? Orkut, The mischief maker or the photo owner?

What can orkut do in that some ******** do such sick things on the internet.. Banning orkut is ofcourse not a soultion to this.Finding out the mischief makers everytime is also not quite practical.. Cause once the harm is done.. it is done.. you can’t take it back….

 I feel its better prevention than cure.. What say? Orkut is not the right place for females to put up their pic.. What do you think?
